We checked several things off our to-do list this weekend!
-Sent in application and fee for the Statham Farmer’s Market
-Ordered blueberry bushes from Barrow County 4-H
-Got the table for our booth
-Started 72+ seeds indoors
-Ordered business cards and a sign for our booth from Vista Print (and being absolute nerds, we also ordered T-shirts to wear at the farmer’s market)
I’m working hard to keep good records on our expenses, which are many at this point, because I want to see how long it takes to break even. I’m guessing it’s going to be a while….
The next things for us to do are to continue with the indoor seeds. When I get my seed orders, I’ll probably start another 150 or so “cells”. We’ll need another 2 grow lights this year.
We are working on adding two new 4×4 garden boxes to our garden, and one of those will be just for herbs this year. I’m looking forward to not having to
fight deal with herbs in my main garden boxes…
I’m getting so excited! It’s fun to expand on what we’ve been doing each year. Our little homestead is growing!
